Double Lined Minority have just dropped their single "White Flag" on June 4, and are celebrating with a six-date tour across the country. The Gold Coast based band will be taking their catchy pop-punk tunes to venues in Gold Coast, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide this July and August.
The band formed in high school back in 2009, inspired by their mutual love of 90s low-fi pop punk. They boys have released one album, With Fingers Crossed in 2011, and an EP, Calling All Liars in 2013, with a third release expected in early 2015.
New single, 'White Flag', was inspired by the Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated the Philippines in 2013. “I imagined being at that place and in that situation whilst it was happening and to have 195 mile-per-hour winds coming right at you – and you have no choice but to accept what's coming to you,” says single Eddie Salazar.
Double Lined Minority kick off their tour with a hometown show on the Gold Coast on July 18. The whole tour is all-ages, with tickets on sale 9 June. Check out all the details below.
